College Visits

COLLEGE VISITS

What are college visits?  College visits are a way for you to learn more information about a school, connect with an admissions representative, and show demonstrated interest in a school!  You will get to hear directly from the admissions rep about things like the application process, popular programs within a school, campus life, and more!  This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions that you have about a school.  Typically, these visits take place in the College and Career Center however, if I need additional space, I will move it to a different location.

The College Visit calendar will be updated regularly on our CCC College Visit & Help Session Sign Up Spreadsheet as schools continue to register for visits – so please bookmark that link and check regularly for updates.

Oak Ridge College Visit Process:

  1. Juniors and Seniors will be able to view the schools visiting Oak Ridge through the CCC College Visit & Help Session Sign Up Spreadsheetthis spreadsheet will be updated regularly
  2. Students will register for the college visits + help sessions they are interested in or would like to learn more about by:
    1. Opening the CCC College Visit & Help Session Sign Up Spreadsheet
    2. Click the tinyurl link for the visit you want to register for
    3. Complete & Submit the registration for that visit
    4. Create a reminder (planner/calendar) for the visit(s) signed up for – we will not send passes or make any announcement for a visit.
    5. Come prepared with questions for the admissions representative.  You can find a list of great questions to ask HERE.
    6. It will be your responsibility to communicate your absence with your teacher.  Additionally, you are responsible for any work missed while attending a college visit.  Please do not sign up for a visit that you will not be able to attend.  Space is limited.
    7. Attendance will be shared the day of the visit.

** If a student does not complete the registration for a college visit, the student will be sent back to class.  No exceptions. **

Please note:

If the visit is full or you are unable to attend the visit due to a schedule conflict – you can stop by the CCC after school on the day of the visit –  I always ask the representative to leave their card in the event a student would like to reach out to them for information.
