About Advanced Placement
Advanced Placement (AP) is a nationally recognized standardized program of college-level courses and exams for secondary school students. AP courses enable highly motivated students to take college-level courses while enrolled in high school.
Colleges participating in the AP program may allow college credit for students scoring 3 or above on AP examina-tions. Students enrolling in multiple AP courses have the opportunity to earn enough college credit to enter college as a sophomore. AP courses are challenging and thought-provoking, taking more time and requiring
more work than other high school courses.
AP Students will be required to sign a contract, agreeing to the AP requirements and agreeing to stay in the course for the entire school year.
